Abstract

This final assignment aims to analyze the organizational resources and management processes used by Unit IV of the Intelligence and Security Unit to optimize early detection of criminal acts of theft in the jurisdiction of the Lamongan Police Resort. In this final assignment, the author uses a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Final project covers two main issues, namely organizational resources and management processes. Organizational resources include people, money, materials, and methods. Meanwhile, the management process includes planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring. The author found that factors such as limited personnel both in terms of quality and quantity, inadequate budget utilization, inadequate facilities and equipment, and lack of coordination with related agencies, the community and internal police. From the results of this analysis, to optimize early detection, the author recommends several efforts to increase the quality and quantity of personnel, increase budget use, improve facilities and equipment, increase coordination with related agencies, the community and internal police, as well as notification and application of SOPs. So, we can optimize early detection to provide information related to criminal acts of theft in the jurisdiction of the Lamongan Police Resort
