Optimization of the Two-Wheel Patrol Unit to Prevent Aggravated Theft at Ngawi Police

Abstract

This final project aims to analyze organizational resources, cooperation, and management processes used by the Satuan Samapta Patrol Unit to optimize its performance in preventing theft with aggravation in the jurisdiction of the Ngawi Police Station. In this final project, the author uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach and collects data through interviews, observations, and documentation studies at the Satuan Samapta Patrol Unit of the Ngawi Police Station. This Final Project covers three main issues and uses theory, namely organizational resources, SWOT theory, competences and management. The organization's resources include Man, Money, Material, and Method. Competencies include knowledge, skills, attitudes. While the management process includes planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. In this final project, the author found that factors such as limited personnel both in terms of quality and quantity. In addition, the lack of budget utilization, inadequate facilities and equipment, as well as organizational management that has not been maximized can affect the performance of the Samapta Unit Patrol Unit in preventing theft with aggravation in the Ngawi Regency area. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that performance improvement is needed to optimize the performance of patrol units by improving the factors that affect their performance. Therefore, to optimize Satuan Samapta's performance, the author recommends several efforts in improving the quality and quantity of personnel, increasing budget use, improving facilities and equipment, improving coordination with related agencies and the community, as well as the need for several breakthroughs in terms of technology utilization in improving the performance of the Satuan Samapta Patrol Unit.
