Optimization of the Performance of the PPA Unit of Sukoharjo Criminal Investigation in Resolving the Case of Sexual Violence Against Children

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the performance of PPA Unit of Sukoharjo Police Criminal Investigation in resolving cases of sexual violence against children in district Sukoharjo. The method of this research uses descriptive analyst with qualitative data analysis techniques through several activities such as observatory observations, interviews, and document studies. writers found that there were several factors that have contributed to the lack of optimal performance of PPA Unit of Sukoharjo Police Criminal Investigation, such as the limited personnel, competence of human resource of PPA Unit of Sukoharjo Police Criminal Investigation, and the method used in conducting the investigation which was not appropriate enough with the regulations in the force. this research has provided several suggestions in optimizing the performance of PPA Unit of Sukoharjo Police Criminal Investigation by increasing the amount and competence personnel, adjusting the method of research that has been adapted to the regulations of the Head of Police Department and Regulations of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit that rules the PPA Unit. Through this research, it is hoped that the results can become a base for the Police Department in optimizing the performance of PPA Unit of Sukoharjo Police Criminal Investigation in handling the cases of sexual violence against children in the jurisdication of Sukoharjo Police Department.
