Optimization of Patrol Pam Obvit Sat Samapta Karanganyar Police in Preventing Theft at Bank Offices

Abstract

The Karanganyar Regency area in general is an area that can be said to be safe and conducive. The crime rate that has occurred in the Karanganyar Regency Area has tended to be low for the last 3 years from 2020 to 2022. So that the people living in the Karanganyar Regency can live in a state of peace and tranquility. To maintain this, it is necessary to eliminate all possibilities of crime occurring in the Karanganyar Regency area. Even though it is said to be safe and conducive, the Karanganyar Regency area does not mean that there has never been a crime. From 2020 to 2022, a case that is quite prominent in Karanganyar compared to other cases is theft crime case. Bank offices are places where people often visit because that's where the money flows. Every community in the Karanganyar district area certainly wants to provide services at bank offices in a safe condition. So to realize this, it is necessary to have preventive action from the National Police, which has the main task of maintaining security and public order. This is where Pamobvit plays a role in preventing bank theft. In 2020 until 2022 there was a raise of a bank theft. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Karanganyar Police's Pamobvit Unit is implemented in preventing theft at bank offices in realizing a conducive Harkamtibmas. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach where data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and document studies, to a number of informants in the jurisdiction of the Karanganyar Police. The results of this study indicate that the Pamobvit Unit needs to optimize Implementation Supervision through patrol activities and the use of communication devices in the form of Handy Talky (HT) at times prone to theft, especially during shifts by the security unit in implementing bank office security.
