Effectiveness of RW Police in Efforts to Reduce Criminal Acts of Moving in the Jurisdiction of Tulungagung Police

Abstract

Community Policing has become a significant strategy in maintaining security and order amidst the diversity of social characteristics in Indonesian society. This final project aims to describe, analyze, and identify factors influencing the implementation of Neighborhood Police (Polisi RW) duties in reducing gang assault crimes within the jurisdiction of the Tulungagung District Police (Polres Tulungagung). Using a qualitative approach and case study method, this research evaluates the effectiveness of Polisi RW in combating such criminal activities. Planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling steps are effectiveness to the success of Polisi RW duties. Prevention efforts involve primary, secondary, and tertiary approaches. Supporting and inhibiting factors are also found to influence the implementation of Polisi RW duties in fulfilling their functions.
