Optimization of the "Precision City Patrol" by the Samapta Unit in Handling Alcohol Abuse in the Jurisdiction Area of Magetan Police

Abstract

Liquor are one of the drinking substances that have been banned in Indonesia because it has a harmful effect both on health and can interfere with citizens. his study aims to describe the implementation of the synergy of precision city patrols through police discretion in handling alcohol cases, describe and analyze what the police consider in the optimization of precision city patrols in handling alcohol cases, and describe and provide an assessment of precision city patrols in handling alcohol cases in the Magetan Police District. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a field research method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies, and data validity using data triangulation. The results found that alcohol cases are the most prominent cases in Magetan Police Station. The synergy of precision city patrols by Satsamapta in handling alcohol cases has been running but there are some shortcomings that still exist at every stage. The inhibiting factors are human resources, patrol targets, and patrol implementation. While the supporting factors are facilities and infrastructure, teamwork and community factors.
