Optimization of the Performance of the PPA Unit in Handling Special Crimes in the Jurisdiction of the Boyolali Police
Abstract
The number of cases of violence against women and children in Indonesia is increasing where in 2022, the number of such incidents will be 19,805 cases. Children should be considered the nation's future leaders and have the right to excellent care and a good standard of living so they can grow up to be productive members of society. According to Chief of Police Regulation No. 10 of 2007, one of the responsibilities of the National Police under the supervision of the PPA Unit is to protect children and women. This claim encouraged academics to investigate the factors—among them improving unit performance—that contribute to the resolution of particular criminal cases involving women and children. The goal of this study is to comprehend how the Unit PPA Satreskrim Polres Boyolali functions in treating exceptional criminal cases in the best possible way. Researchers interviewed a variety of informants using qualitative techniques to produce factual findings that could be thoroughly examined. This study comes to the conclusion that the Unit PPA Satreskrim Polres Boyolali work performance is inadequate since there are still numerous areas where the integration of planning, organizing, carrying out, and supervising can be improved.
